Re: The Mathematics of Vaccination Rates..

an equal chance of ... transmitting ... isnt correct. Yes, just for example is the paper showing that the amount of exhaled aerosol is not only linked to when infected but also increases with the advancement of BMI-years (https://www.pnas.org/content/118/8/e2021830118) https://www.pnas.org/content/...

Re: Asymptomatic transmission

Why is this rearing it's ugly head again? ... To clarify: I'm aware of PRE-symptomatic transmission in a narrow window of time, but was under the impression the other sort was vanishingly rare. Is it a consequence of the Government running a prophylactic vaccination programme with the risk of creat...

Re: So It Begins?

It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it. It shouldn't all be a dirty job, and some of it shouldn't need doing. Of course it needs doing, the rioters were burning police cars. They should have kettled them in and sprayed them with jets of cold water. I wrote "shouldn't", the PM, Govt, HoC and hi...

Re: So It Begins?

A.c.a.b ...is also accurate. It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it. It shouldn't all be a dirty job, and some of it shouldn't need doing. No deep consideration of broken windows theory in England, no bobby on the beat, no local police stations, police rarely part of, or for the local communit...

What is the Chance of Surviving a Covid & Lockdown Year?

What is the relative chance of surviving a year of covid & lockdown (C&L)? I have not seen Government estimates of this so here are mine:- Example Calculation Suppose a normal (no covid, no lockdown) year had mortality 0.8% and a C&L year had mortality 1% (a 25% increase in mortality) then Relative ...

Re: Something is rotten...

I would certainly be interested in seeing how the Govt have made such considerations if vaccinations are pushed to ever younger groups. I think there is potentially something rotten here. There is no ethically correct answer to the trolly problem. That's why it's interesting. There is always someth...

Re: Something is rotten...

I do believe there is something rotten (i) in how the U.K. governments (and media) have kept the focus on vaccines/vaccine-like products rather than broader health choices/provision, (ii) in how data on risks are discussed, (iii) in how relevant data collection seems avoided, and (iv) the lack of tr...

Re: Predictions?

Johnson will not need to justify his position, the vast majority of MPs believe in / have interest in oppressing the people, they will not vote against (perhaps a few for part of the pretence). For propaganda's sake Johnson has already positioned himself by stating that he should have locked up soci...
