Profit line item is usually not the biggest "cost" ... lots of salaries, pensions, etc. also going through even though priced to reduce to eliminate "profit". Focus on "profit" is often not the full picture.

Suggestion: for letter to school, keep it short as odd of them reading (and maybe acting) increase with a short letter.

Maybe that's the root cause of the NHS's issue: not using a database and using Excel instead?
