Re: The anti-vaxxers have failed! 70% of UK of adults have been vaccinated

Define anti-vaxxers? There's a huge difference between not wanting any vaccine and not wanting unecessary or untested vaccines. Don't conflate the two. Good luck to all, make your decision and live with it (or not). As the vulnerable who want vaccine are all done why are we still restricted? Why do...

Re: The Smile Free campaign

I signed it too.

Haven't seen a great deal of publicity about it, though

Re: A State of Fear

I read that Recovery are sending a copy of the book to all MPs. This is good news, and a worthy use of funds.
I hope enough of them actually read it, although I'd be appalled if they were not already aware of much of the contents.

Re: The anti-vaxxers have failed! 70% of UK of adults have been vaccinated

And what have you "won"? The chance in a few weeks to enjoy some of the freedoms that Floridians in the US have been enjoying for the last year? Yes, we should not let a bunch of stubborn numbskulls slow down the end of restrictions. And without vaccine passports we cannot make a set of restriction...

Re: 75% of UK of adults have been vaccinated

The number of unvaccinated people has shrunk by 20% since the original post on 19th of may. On 19th May, it was esimated that 70% of adults had had vaccine, 30 % had not. Two weeks later, it is esimated that 75% of adults had had vaccine 25% had not. 25 is just 80% of 30, hence the number of unvacc...

Re: A State of Fear

I'm currently reading this (excellent ) book but find it so disturbing sometimes that I have to put it down and do something else. I've also just read the resignation letter from a nurse in Conservative Woman. This whole thing seems by now so institutionalised, so impossible to fight on an individua...

Re: Catholic in charge

Didn't St Anthony of Blair convert to Roman Catholicism whilst PM, or am I misremembering? The present incumbent was born Catholic, I read, but became C of E when it suited him to do so , at Eton. It may suit him to change his spots to something else should the need arise. I have heard him boast of ...

Re: And finally Cyril...

She's clearly not been keeping up, has she. How about prior exposure to SARS, Esther? How about a healthier population with a better diet and higher vitamin D intake? I hadn't noticed Australians and N Zealanders being thankful for lockdown - I bet they will tire of it pretty soon having been stuck ...

Re: The anti-vaxxers have failed! 70% of UK of adults have been vaccinated

Goodness. A post I made yesterday didn't appear to have survived Moderation. Let me try again. I'm enjoying the impotent rage of those exercised about whether others take the 'vaccine'. (It might help them burn off a few calories) In no way will the opprobrium of these people influence my decision -...

Re: Vaccine and T-cell response

Maybe this thing just isn't as easy to catch as we've been led to believe. I had high hopes of that cough last February; glad I wasn't the only one with this idea, although in fairness, there was no fever. My theory was that 20 years with the Unwashed in an Outpatient clinic had given me a super-cha...
