Re: Does this prove masks work?
However, pre-symptomatic spread is a real thing. It might be a "real" thing, but just how significant is it? Seems unlikely that anyone who is not (yet) coughing or sneezing would be transferring sufficient viral load to someone in a casual encounter in the street or in a shop to make that person i...

Re: Does this prove masks work?
Surely the bottom line with masks is they can't prevent/reduce transmission from someone who is not infected in the first place, so requiring healthy people to wear them is achieving absolutely no benefit whatsoever? If we started regarding people who are "asymptomatic" as healthy rather than as pot...

Re: What's happening in Germany?
They had a "soft" initial hit from late March to mid-May with only around 10k deaths. Since late October till now they've had 5x as many totaling almost 60k deaths. I saw something a while ago (but haven't been able to find it again) suggesting that Germany's "second wave" in the Autumn didn't invo...

Re: Vaccine Adverse Reaction deaths in Norway..
I dare the government to include statistics of '"death with vaccine" to complement "death with covid." Both have equal (in)validity, I would argue. Large data sets showing no real worrying trends other than normal crappy side effects. But we won't know for some time what will happen if large number...

Re: Vaccine Deaths in Norway
I read something yesterday saying Israel has now vaccinated over 80% of people aged 80 and over - so any effects of the vaccine (either through a reduction in covid deaths or an increase in vaccine-associated mortality) should be apparent fairly soon.

Excellent post: this deserves to be published on the main site as an article in its own right.

Re: Another letter to my MP
Strong! I've written several letters to mine, she never bothers to reply Mine replies in platitudes and BS. I don't really expect to get anything: I just follow Peter Hitchens' advice: the only thing that gets through to MPs is the threat of not getting re-elected. I even once told my MP that altho...

Another letter to my MP
Dear *******, I see that you are being given another opportunity tomorrow to rubber stamp the decision the government has already made by decree, in a sham of democracy. I realise it is futile to ask you to consider exercising your own freedom of thought in this matter, but I just want to put it on ...

Re: So where has Flu gone?
Someone said on twitter yesterday that you never get two viruses prevalent at the same time. "We never get more than one viral illness at a time in nature, so perhaps Covid is behaving in that way. It was something Dr Samuel Hahnemann noticed too, all those years ago." If this is true, perhaps covid...
