Re: the celts tomorrow decide to have lockdown and rule or not.

Except there are no useful anti lockdown parties at all. They basically have a choice of Conservatives (love a bit of lockdown), Drakeford (loves more lockdown, sooner and longer) or Plaid (See Drakeford but with really dodgy eyebrows). Tribalism wins anyway. Plenty of people despite saying how atro...

Re: Dominic Raab makes things clear...

Better off demanding the exact same legal rights you had in Feb 2020 and all legislation regarding it since then repealed.

It wont happen though. There's no political will.

Re: fewer wars

Other than the obvious big ones, most wars have a tiny effect on the population and its very localised.
Anything from climate variations to environment change has a much larger effect.

Re: Journal Retracts Study Showing Masks Don’t Work

Even FFP2/3 only work if correctly fitted (its not just a case of slapping it on and pulling the straps tight) and are don/doffed with correct sterile technique. None of that has anything in common with untrained Joe Public sliding a bit of cloth on/off his face 27 times a day in 6 shops and 3 buses...

Re: A plausible explanation for post-vac outbreaks?

The Thailand example is pretty much nonsense. It started before *any* vaccination and the numbers vaccinated so far are so insignificantly small (well under 1% single dose) they have no effect at all. Its also not that cohort catching it. Theres no overlap in timing, geographic spread or demographic...

Re: Dominic Raab makes things clear...

As you say the govt doesn't want "normal". I'm at a loss to know why. They're terrified of normal just in case some hypothetical that doesn't exist that might exist at some point on time causes a problem. This is the precautionary princiniple on steroids now - utterly terrified to go back to normal...

Re: The authoritarian scientific establishment

So why are you such a prolific poster? Bored and nothing else to do but cause some pointless mischief? Locked down, furloughed so getting paid nicely for doing nothing. Didn't do anything exciting in pre-covid times so has lost nothing at a guess. That or works in a nice cushy guaranteed salary job...

Re: Vaccine and T-cell response

Dolores Cahill and Mike Yeadon both say it. They qualify it but there word is good enough for me. Which neatly sums up the problem. You're happy to accept the ratings of people that are in this for the publicity and been proven incorrect on every single statement they make. You make no attempt to f...

Re: you better start swimmin', Or you'll sink like a stone,

Its completely and utterly insecure.

You don't attack the cryptography itself. You dont need to. You attack implementation bugs or more commonly with these systems, the backend storage and access itself.

There never has been and never will be a secure identification system.

Re: Arrival in Italy earlier than thought

Theres good data showing a September arrival. There's very weak/no good data showing it was before that at all. Sampling isn't finding it, mutational analysis doesn't point to it, dynamics of spread done. Nothing does. If you believe it wasn't a lab leak then mutational rate analysis also hints it m...
